Several neighborhoods in Michigan have been experiencing flooding and it could be caused by the ice jam on the Grand River. The freezing temperatures and the ice and snow have caused large pieces of ice to melt together and jam up the river, making it hard for water to flow properly. This causes the water to flow over the banks instead.  The ice jam may need to be broken up to resolve the flooding issue.
